This drug boosts insulin secretion, reduces glucagon release, and makes you feel full. These effects help with weight loss and diabetes management, but they also raise concerns about possible risks to babies who are breastfed.
Animal studies have shown that semaglutide can be present in the milk of nursing rats at higher levels than in their blood. It's important to note that animal studies do not always predict outcomes in humans, and more research is needed to understand the potential effects on breastfed infants.
